Our History

Youth Revive, Inc. was launched by Adrian and CaShanda McConnell in 2013 and has since served a number of students and schools.

Youth Revive provides character and civic education to help close the civic empowerment gap for youth in low-income communities.

Our Mission

Youth Revive provides character and civic education to help close the civic empowerment gap for youth in low-income communities.

In September 2015, Founding Executive Director, Adrian McConnell, launched the Ignite Me Program which is now known as the Ignite Me Action Civics Curriculum.

What We Do

Our Programs

Ignite Me in Schools

Youth Revive provides character and civic education in schools to help close the civic empowerment gap for youth in low-income communities.

Community Action Project Day

Youth Revive’s Community Action Project (C.A.P.) Day is like a science fair! C.A.P. Day is the capstone for students participating in our semester long Ignite Me Program.

Civic Saturday

Youth Revive is partnering with Citizen University to host Civic Saturday, a faith gathering designed to bring us together to practice civic discourse and community.

Overtime, our mission has shifted yet we still believe the Christian church is a staple within the community and should seek programs to empower students through the greatest mission field available – a school campus.

Our Vision

We envision a country full of character-driven youth working to reconnect, rebuild, and revive communities.

“I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly  and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

Isaiah 57:15

What We Believe

Our Core VAlues

Community

We believe that a student’s community should contribute to their character and civic education and foster opportunities for them to rebuild, reconnect, and revitalize communities.

Character

We believe that character education is an essential component of a student’s success, both for the transformation of their community and society.

Civics

We believe that through action civics, we can close the “civic empowerment gap” and  students can address the disparities in civic knowledge, motivation, skills, and deposition between low-income minority youth and wealthier white youth.

Church

We believe the Christian church is a staple within the community and should seek programs such as Ignite Me to empower students through the greatest mission field available – a school campus.

Collaboration

We believe that collaboration with public, private, and government organizations is essential to equipping and propelling students to become the agents of change in their school community, local community, and the broader world.
