Adrian McConnell is a graduate of Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a Certificate in Urban Youth Ministry from the Fuller Youth Institute at Fuller Theological Seminary. Adrian completed a nationally renowned cohort program called Devos Urban Leadership Initiative, an intense15-month tuition-sponsored leadership development program for urban youth workers. He is the Youth Pastor
at Pathway of Life Church and Founding Executive Director of Youth ReVive Inc in Dallas, TX. n addition, Youth Revive is looking to add a training and consulting arm for small to mid-size churches. Adrian enjoys coaching youth workers and pulpit speaking. Adrian has been in ministry since 2005 serving in various roles of the church and non-profit sector. Pastor “Mac” and his wife, CaShanda have one daughter, Calei Marie.
Treasurer, and Finance Chair
CaShanda is a graduate of Grambling State University with a Bachelor of Science dual degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems. CaShanda has been employed at professional services firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC (PwC) since August 2003. She began her career with PwC in the Assurance practice and has since held three other positions, primarily focused on internal operations and project management. PwC is a heavy promoter of Corporate Responsibility and with CaShanda’s passion to serve students in underprivileged and under-resourced communities, she gets the opportunity to mentor students by way of Youth Revive, Inc. where her husband, Adrian is the Founding Executive Director. CaShanda also serves students alongside her husband, who is the Youth Pastor at Pathway of Life Church. CaShanda and Adrian have been married for 15 years and have one daughter, Calei Marie.
Board Co-Chair & Co-Event Chair
LaShonne Watts is currently the General Manager for the Red Bird area for the collective impact non-profit Neighbor Up. In this position, she works on community revitalization and economic development in her assigned area. Before that, she was an Assistant City Attorney and Southeast Community Prosecutor for the City of Dallas for almost 5 years where she focused on improving the quality of life for residents through strategic Code enforcement. Ms. Watts also worked as a Staff Attorney for the Children's Law Center in New York City for 5 years, where she represented children in custody, visitation, guardianship, paternity and abuse & neglect cases in Bronx Family Court. Ms. Watts started her legal career at the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop as a litigation associate., She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
Secretary and Co-Program Chair
Sonya Cameron is a Social Worker and Community Liaison at Dallas ISD Franklin D. Roosevelt High School where she has worked for the last 4 years. She also serves as the Volunteer and Partnership Coordinator on campus. Sonya’s background includes non-profit program management. She has a Bachelors’ Degree in Social Worker and is licensed with the State of Texas. She also has a Masters’ degree in Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Community and Economic Development. She is married to the absolute love of her life, Isom Cameron IV who she looks forward to growing VERY old with. Their family is completed with their two adult children Isom D. Cameron IV (23) and Ryan Gabrielle Cameron (19).
