BOARD APPLICATION AND POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

Overview

The Youth Revive Inc Governing Board oversees the execution of the organization’s mission. The Governing Board consists of the Board members. Board members seating on the Governing Board should oversee a committee.

Principally, the Governing Board manages the organizational finances, outcomes and sets long-term priorities for programs.  Additionally, the Governing Board oversees the Executive Director, who is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organization.  Overall, the members of the Governing Board contribute their educational, management, legal, financial skills along with their network to ensure long-term organizational stability and ensure year-to-year excellence for Youth Revive’s partnerships and programs.

Applicants interested in serving as a board member should first understand our mission, the expectations, and rules of Board Membership, read and understand the by-laws and our core values, and submit a completed application before the requested date.

Before beginning, please set aside ample time to complete the detailed application in its entirety.  Once you begin, you are unable to stop and return to where you left off. Please fill out every single blank on the application and hit the Submit button for proper submission. Once submitted, a “Thanks for applying. You’ll hear from us soon.” will pop up confirming form submission.

Declaration of Candidacy

Governing Board positions require a time and energy commitment that should not be underestimated.  Candidates are urged to consider personal priorities for the next two years as well as the ways to contribute to the development of the organization.

  • After your application has been reviewed, we will follow up to schedule an interview with you.

Time and Financial Considerations

MeetingsQuarterly Board Meetings or Video/Tele-Conference for updates on programing, setting policy, approving committee work, etc. Special meetings on as needed basis.

Donations: Members are encouraged to give or get donations through cash or in-kind giving. 100% participation is sought.

 

Application Process

Applications will be accepted from January 5 – January 24, 2022.

Interviews: January 29, 2022, between 9:30am-11:30am
Term Beings: February 2022
Board Member Term August 31, 2021 – July 31, 2023
